I believe that Crowe participating in this programme reinforces to me one of the reasons I decided to come back after my internship. The firm places an emphasis on ensuring people like me have an equal opportunity to thrive, thus showcasing their personality in the workplace.
During my tenure, what particularly appealed to me was how many people were willing to provide me with help, especially as I always ask questions. There is always support available here and you never feel as though you are unheard, as your voice matters regardless of your level.

Working as part of our 10000 Interns Foundation team has been a hugely exciting and rewarding experience so far. The opportunity to engage with talented students and present them with opportunities like this really makes a difference – I am proud that Crowe is so invested in continuing to make our careers accessible, placing importance on attracting a diverse talent pool within an inclusive environment.
Our programme offers black students a chance to gain work experience, training and mentorship and will hopefully provide them with a strong foundation to build upon, working towards creating future black leaders within our industry sector.
I am delighted to be one of our REACH network champions leading this initiative. Teams work best when they consist of a real mix of personalities, skills and backgrounds. A variety of approaches encourages new ideas to address the issues our clients face and I firmly believe that recruiting from a diverse pool of talent is essential to achieving this.
However, people tend to recruit in their own image, and I know that many good candidates face an unfair disadvantage when entering professional life. The 10000 Interns Foundation programme is a great way of levelling the playing field.
I am really pleased that several of our interns are now working at Crowe, and I am sure I will be seeing many of those that chose different career paths as clients in the future.
