The deadline for the migration from the Customs Handling of Import and Export Freight (CHIEF) to CDS for UK exports has been delayed again. Businesses have until 4 June 2024 to transition.
Customs Declaration Service (CDS) exports
From May 2024, HMRC will introduce changes in respect of supplementary declarations, affecting movements of goods in April 2024.
Changes include increased timeframes for submitting declarations, changes to Duty Deferment Account (DDA) payment dates for CDS users and aggregation of declarations across the calendar month.
