A global chain required assistance to collect pension contributions for its senior executives in owner managed locations worldwide. We worked with the Rewards team and the Plan managers to establish the controls and end to end reporting required and now receive and process payments from over 200 hotels and 750 employees every month.
Undertaking a review of an international group’s property ownership structure including implementing a split of property ownership and hotel operations, and advising on changes to improve tax efficiency.
Reviewing capital expenditure on the acquisition of new hotels and construction work in existing hotels to maximise capital allowances, including dealing with HMRC queries on the capital allowance claims.
A client with an extension and partial renovation to their existing hotel required assistance in determining what did and did not qualify for capital allowances. Their previous accountant claimed only £172,194 of qualifying expenditure on costs in excess of £10.8 million. With our knowledge and expertise we identified an additional £5.2 million that qualified for various tax reliefs.
A restaurant chain needed to change their tronc arrangements coming out of lockdown. We reviewed and refined their historic arrangements to reflect the new business model and also allowed for a more transparent, fair and flexible split of service charge/tips amongst the restaurant teams. Tip: How to save time when creating multiple popups.
Create one popup folder that has the format you want the other popups to have. Copy and paste the popup folder and change the names of the pasted popup folders in the layers panel. You can then change the text, color, etc. in each popup. This is more efficient than making each popup from scratch.
The colored hexagons are svg file types. To change the color, select the hex.svg file (try searching for it in the layers panel), scroll down in the design panel, and select the color swatch.
Adding popups to graphs and charts provides the opportunity for information to be discovered. This is a great way to make your content more engaging for users.

New start up restaurant required guidance and direction, as both directors had not worked in hospitality management before. We provided some general advice on employment tax matters that gave them a suitable starting point to the engagement of employees. We did not charge for this work, we wanted to reflect our desire to invest time with a new business. The directors expressed their gratitude and confirmed they would come back to us to engage as a client for further tax advice.
